Description

Vintage Pfeffer Gotha Porcelain Cat Pair. This beautiful porcelain piece from Germany is in excellent condition. I can find no flaws except perhaps some slight roughness on the ears of the tall cat. The more I study it, the more I think it is part of the design of the glaze. The cats are White and black with tiny pink noses and measure just over 3 inches tall, about 2 1/2 inches wide, and 3 inches at the widest part of the base. If my research is correct, Pfeffer's factory closed in 1934. This piece is most likely from the 1920's or early 1930's based on other Pfeffer porcelain animals I was able to find.
