Condition: Very nice shape for a 60+ yr old safety axe. Looks to have no metal loss from use or sharpening. Handles very nice shape, looks to have been cleaned and well done. Safety axes have a swinging guard that protects the axe edge from cutting anyone and when in use it folds into the handle so the axe can be used. Amazing invention back then

A very nice well made Safety Axe by Marbles, swinging guard to protect the edge and the person carrying it. Nice that it folded into the handle so that the axe could be used without being a hindrance to the user. This Marbles #2 built in the 50's was probably the most favorite axe seller. In a Marbles book I have the list it as 175$ for good and 350 for excellent. This book was published in 2004, 18 yrs ago. I am sure the market moves alot for these type of collectables. Thats why I am asking for 350$, which I believe to be fair. Thanks
