Large Vintage Kitschy Girolami Gold Statue Standing Girl Cupid Figurine. Rare C. G. Girolami statues in what was called "distressed gold" finish. Contemporary buyer's guide states these items were made in the 1970's with hand laid gold leaf by Italian craftsman in Chicago. Girolami's works were featured in the Chicago Worlds Fair, the Illinois State Capitol Building, Saint Rita's Cathedral, and The Roxy Theatre in New York In good vintage condition without chips or cracks. Seems to be made of some kind of composite material. Tiny spot where paint flaked off (shown)
