Description

Thrifting find. Capodimonte porcelain sculpture of doves and flowers, made in Italy. Blue circled mark on the base. Age unknown. It is a nice size, at about 9" wide and 8" tall. Please note that there appears to be damage to the backside of the piece; I think two pink flower petals and a leaf have broken off and been touched up. The area is shown in the last few photos. From the front, the damage isn't noticeable. There also appears to be a few more touched-up areas on the edges of some of the flower petals and leaves. One of the birds has a light pink mark on its head. There are other imperfections from the hand painting, and some errant flecks of porcelain on the underside of the base.
